Mercury Retrograde: Breathe and Receive

THE DRAGON

Find a quiet space and make yourself comfortable. Take one slow, deep breath to reconnect to your own magic. Then dive all the way into this vision and see what happens.

Breathe deeply and see yourself as you are today, standing on a little hill overlooking a great dragon who is guarding a walled-in city. From within the city, a beautiful light is shining, but it you can’t get to it because of all the walls.

That shining light is your happiness and the dragon is guarding it.

Don’t be mad at the dragon, you actually asked him to guard this happiness, to build all these walls to keep it safe.

A long time ago you decided that you would only be happy conditionally – that you would be happy if this happened, or when that thing happened, or if this other person does this or that or if life gives you this thing or that.

The dragon built the walls from all these conditions. And now your happiness is super constrained. Only a little joy can squeeze through the walls every now and again for you to enjoy.

(Read this last section, then close your eyes, enter the vision and experience it!)

Now you are ready to move the dragon which you will do by offering him something.

Intuitively and very quickly imagine something you can trade to get your happiness back and then boldly walk up to the great dragon and lay your offering at his feet.

When you do this, the dragon will knock down all the walls with a great swipe of his tail and lumber away. See what secret happiness was walled in and now is free. Let yourself taste this happiness now, regardless of how things are. Unconditionally let love in. Let happiness in. Let power in. Breathe and receive.
