Press Restart in April 2026: Recalibrate Relationships and Rediscover Yourself

April 2026 is a powerful month with a vibration of newness. The fresh energy of spring is upon us, and as we venture deeper into this new season, we’re invited to find equilibrium between our individual needs and the desires of our closest connections. A Libra full moon on the first day of the month sets the tone for a big theme: self versus others, challenging us to approach conflicts and partnerships with empathy, compromise, and a willingness to see all perspectives. Let’s take a look at some key transits in April 2026 that will encourage you to press restart in an important area of your life.

April 1, 2026: Libra Full Moon

Harmony, Compromise, and Relationship Recalibration

The month kicks off with a powerful Libra full moon on April 1, shining a spotlight on our closest relationships. With the sun in Aries opposing the moon, we’re called to balance our personal drives with the needs of our partners, friends, and collaborators. Ruled by harmonious Venus, this lunation encourages us to approach any imbalances or disconnects with diplomacy. This is a great time to reflect on where you may have compromised too much or asserted yourself too forcefully. Have honest conversations, make fair compromises, and cultivate deeper mutual understanding.

April 3, 2026: Mercury in Pisces Trine Jupiter in Cancer

Communicative Boost

A couple days after the full moon, Mercury in mutable water sign Pisces, sends positive beams to Jupiter in Cancer, heightening our emotional intelligence and intuition. While the sun is in Aries, people may be more self-involved, and this beautiful exchange in water energy amplifies our ability to read between the lines and offer compassionate support and understanding. A little encouragement can go a long way in alleviating relationship conflicts.

Use this energy to have meaningful dialogues, express your feelings openly, and seek to truly understand where others are coming from. Diplomatic solutions are within reach, if you approach challenges with an open heart and a willingness to compromise.

April 9, 2026: Mars Returns Home to Aries

Assertion and Ambition

Mars, the planet of action, energy, and desire, goes to one of its favorite places to be, Aries, fueling our personal drive and ambition. After spending several weeks in the more introspective sign of Pisces, this shift gives us a burst of assertiveness and initiative. We may feel a stronger urge to take the lead, stand up for ourselves, and pursue our individual goals.

However, with the sun in Aries already, the combined Mars energy could create some tension or impatience, especially in our relationships. Avoid the urge to steamroll others. Channel this fiery Mars energy productively by setting clear boundaries, speaking your truth, and taking bold steps toward your dreams. But don’t forget to check in with your loved ones and make space for their perspectives as well.

April 17, 2026: Aries New Moon

Press Restart

The Aries new moon on April 17 offers a potent opportunity to plant seeds for a fresh start. This lunation aligns with 5 planets in Aries, along with healing asteroid Chiron, infusing our intentions with a grounded, healing, and spiritually-attuned energy. It’s a chance to get clear on your personal goals and priorities, while also considering how they impact your closest relationships.

Use this new moon to define what you want to create or transform in the weeks and months ahead. Whether it’s a creative project, a fitness regimen, or a shift in how you show up in your partnerships, approach this cycle with a balance of bold action and compassionate self-awareness. Mars is the dominant energy for this new moon, so you can make leaps and bounds, but Saturn in Aries will only reward what you’re willing to commit to long-term. Be strategic about what you begin around this time.

April 19, 2026: Sun enters Taurus

The Bull Reigns Supreme

Stability, sensuality, and self-care take precedence after April 19, when the sun shifts into earthy Taurus, inviting us to slow down, savor life’s pleasures, and tend to our physical and financial needs. After the frenetic pace of Aries season, this is a welcome transition that encourages us to find stability, comfort, and indulgence in the simple joys of the material world.

Taurus energy reminds us to prioritize self-care, sensual delights, and cultivate a sense of security. It’s an ideal time to treat yourself, beautify your environment, and connect more deeply with your body, especially while Venus remains in Taurus until April 22. This grounded, patient influence can also help us work through any lingering relationship tensions from earlier in the month, as we find creative ways to compromise.

April 23, 2026: Venus Enters Gemini

Variety is the Spice of Life

Venus, ruler of Taurus, and the planet of love, beauty, and values, moves into Gemini on April 23. This lighter, more communicative placement encourages us to approach relationships and aesthetics with a spirit of playfulness and adaptability.

We may find ourselves drawn to witty banter, intellectual stimulation, and a variety of social interactions. Casual flirtations, short trips, and networking opportunities could arise. However, Venus in Gemini can also make us more fickle or noncommittal in matters of the heart. Avoid spreading yourself too thin or failing to dive deeper in your connections. Venus in Gemini can be surface level, so if you’re looking for something more secure, it may take extra effort on both parties’ parts.

April 25, 2026 Uranus Enters Gemini:

A New Era of Innovative Shifts

One of the most significant astrological events of April and 2026 occurs on the 25th, as Uranus, the planet of revolution and disruption, shifts into the curious, communicative sign of Gemini. This marks the beginning of an 8-year cycle that will bring innovative breakthroughs and rapid changes to how we connect, share information, and move through the world.

We may see rapid advancements in technology, the way we communicate with each other, transportation, and digital platforms. On a personal level, Uranus in Gemini challenges us to think differently, speak our truth boldly, and embrace a more flexible, curious mindset. This transit invites us to liberate ourselves from restrictive narratives and find novel ways to express our ideas. Expect the unexpected when it comes to conversations, travel, and intellectual pursuits. This can be a time of excitement, but also burnout, so pace yourself. It’s a marathon, not a sprint!

April 2026 presents us with a cosmic dance between individual drives and relationship harmony. The key is to approach this month’s ebbs and flows with flexibility, empathy, and a commitment to finding balance. Embrace the opportunities to restore equilibrium, enhance communication, and create more fulfilling bonds. The stars are aligning to support your journey towards greater alignment with yourself and others. I hope you take advantage of this exciting energy!
