April’s Cosmic Shifts: Breakthroughs, Bold Moves & Fresh Starts Await!

April is a month of transformation, pushing us to integrate lessons from recent planetary shifts and embrace new beginnings. With Mercury and Venus stationing direct, a fiery Mars in Leo, and a grounding Taurus season ahead, we’re stepping into a period of clarity, confidence, and creative momentum. This month invites us to reflect, realign, and move forward with renewed purpose—trusting both the structure and spontaneity of the universe.

Saturn Sextile Uranus & 1 st Quarter Moon

On April 4, we have the 1 st quarter moon cycle after the Aries new moon solar eclipse last week. This is the time in the cycle where we see bumps in the road and find ways to learn through the challenges. With Saturn, the planet of discipline and restriction sextile Uranus, the planet of rebellion and sudden changes, whatever problems you’re facing will most likely be solved in the most unexpected of ways. With the moon and Saturn both in water signs, emotional clarity and discernment will be more valuable than physical assertion and over thinking.

Bye Bye Mercury Retrograde

On April 7, Mercury stations direct in Pisces. Mercury was retrograde from March 15 to April 7 in both Aries and Pisces. We collectively reevaluated what’s worth fighting for, how to use our creativity and imagination to solve our problems, and how to stop doubting our intuition and instincts. Now that Mercury is out of retrograde, now is the time to put your lessons to the test. Mercury in Pisces helps you to discern between fear and your intuition. Although not known for practicality and hard work, Pisces energy helps you to dream big and not accept anything less. With the north node also in Pisces, the universe is helping you follow your dreams and move more magically through your life. Where have you been overplanning, worrying, or forgetting to look at the big picture? Start there!

Venus Rejoices

On April 12, we’ll experience a full moon in Libra, alongside Venus stationing direct in Pisces. Not only is Venus no longer retrograde, but it’s also exalted in Pisces, meaning it’s at its most radiant and harmonious. This full moon is also ruled by Venus, amplifying the themes of love, beauty, and balance. From March 1 to April 12, Venus has guided us to realign with our values, our relationships, and our finances. We’ve become more aware of where our time, energy, and resources go, and whether those connections are bringing abundance into our lives. Throughout this period, we’ve established boundaries that have strengthened healthy relationships, while also clarifying which connections no longer serve us. This full moon in Libra marks our graduation from Venus Retrograde University—it’s a time to celebrate and take pride in the growth we’ve made in our relationships, personal identities, and the work we’ve put into our lives.

Mercury in Aries

Mercury retrograde spent two out of its three weeks in Aries, and on April 16, it returns to that fiery, passionate energy. Take a moment to reflect on the Mercury retrograde period; were there moments when your anger influenced your reactions? Or times when you held back your true feelings, fearing conflict? With both Mercury and the sun now in Aries, you’re being empowered with the confidence and drive to pursue your ideas and move forward with passion. However, remember to embrace patience as you navigate this journey.

Mars in Leo

On April 18, Mars moves into Leo, bringing four planets in fire signs! Passion, anger, creativity, jealousy, movement, and desire will be the dominant themes. Mars retrograde taught you to slow down, manage your energy, and prioritize self-care. While Mars was in Cancer, you received the nurturing you needed to recharge. Now, with Mars in Leo, the energy shifts to you feeling energized and ready to turn your dreams into reality. No more wondering what to do or where to go—you’re brimming with inspiration and have a clearer vision of your path. As a fixed sign, Leo’s energy is laser-focused on the goal ahead. But with all this fire, it’s important to be mindful of potential burnout, overconfidence, and maintaining balance along the way.

Sun in Taurus

The sun is moving into stable and resourceful Taurus on April 19 and it will create a square with Mars’ newly found position in Leo. This aspect will fuel your determination to commit to your goals, sharpen your artistic eye, and enhance your creative expression. Manifestation is setting your intentions and moving forward with your plans, but also knowing when to let go, change plans, or take advice from others. Coming out of Venus retrograde, it’s important to remind yourself of your community and the strong connections you’ve built. Lean on them when you need to!

April 21: Saturn conjunct North Node in Pisces

On April 21, Saturn and the north node of destiny will merge, revealing the results of your hard work. Saturn in Pisces teaches that your emotions and sensitivity are not weaknesses, but powerful strengths. It emphasizes the importance of setting boundaries, both personally and within your community. The north node in Pisces invites a time of flow, healing, and releasing the inner critic to embrace the mystic within. As these two energies come together, we’re rewarded for the creativity, spirituality, and service we bring to others. Before Saturn moves into Aries in May, it’s here to remind you that you’ve gained valuable wisdom and clarity that will help make your dreams a reality. Trust in the direction you’re headed!

New Moon in Taurus

On April 27, we welcome the new moon in Taurus, a time to nurture and cultivate the seeds we’ve planted. Taurus season blends diligence, focus, patience, and self-care. While it’s important to push through obstacles that arise, it’s equally crucial to know when and how to rest to recharge your energy. During Taurus season, things may feel like they move at a slower pace, but this slower rhythm allows you to pay attention to the details. You’re more attuned to your environment and its impact on you. By noticing what surrounds you, you can better identify what supports and what drains you, helping you create a more balanced, harmonious space moving forward.

Venus in Aries

On April 30, Venus moves back into Aries after its retrograde. When Venus is in Aries, we love louder, live bolder, and go after what we want with passion. Take a moment to reflect on the past two months and the insights you’ve gained about your finances, energy levels, and connections with others. Aries’ independent nature can sometimes push relationships away, resist help, and lean towards short flings or self-reliance. While your independence and freedom are vital, it’s time to let go of the belief that you must go through life on your own. There’s a way to balance between embracing community, fostering partnerships, and honoring your individuality.

As April comes to a close, we emerge with greater clarity, passion, and alignment with our true desires. Embrace the lessons, trust the journey, and step boldly into the next chapter of your evolution!
