Everything You Need to Know About May’s Full Moon in Scorpio

The Scorpio full moon on May 12 is one of the most intense and destructive astrological events of the year, putting pressure on our relationships, commitments, and selves. Issues that have piled up will lead to major turning points, forcing you to decide where your true loyalties lie. Now is the time to acknowledge your limits when it comes to certain people or agendas. The desire to live a life full of purpose will cause you to decipher whether you’re all in or totally out. Be realistic about your circumstances during this time, granting yourself permission to let go.

Coinciding with this full moon comes a harsh square between Mercury and Pluto, which is bound to trigger conflict. Differing points of view will be nearly impossible to resolve, especially when dealing with money or political ideologies. Tread carefully when it comes to discussing current events. The energy will be more emotional and sensitive than usual, and debating issues with those who oppose your beliefs could lead to major drama. Act in your own interests by avoiding triggering topics. If certain conversations cannot be avoided, focus on grounding and supporting yourself while navigating challenging interactions.

While Luna shines brightly above, certain realities will come to light. These revelations may sometimes feel harsh, especially when dealing with choices you’ve made. A desire to feel safe or maintain balance may have led to self-restrictive behaviors. Though outside factors always play a role in our fates, now is the time to take responsibility for what you do have control over. Ultimately, the stars wish to empower and embolden you. However, you’ll need to get comfortable with the idea of life getting a bit messy if you’re to truly evolve.

With Uranus nestled closely to the Taurus sun, try to relish the calm that comes before any storm. This full moon marks a moment of both release and build-up, bringing opportunities to establish firm ground. Remember that who you spend time with ultimately shapes you. Be mindful of who brings chaos or unhealthy distractions to your life, making less space for these interactions. When it comes to these relationships, brace for pushback if you need to step away from certain companions. On the other hand, be mindful to double down on stabilizing and reliable dynamics, seeking to bring more positive influence to your life.

Though the energy will be rocky at times, there will also be plenty to celebrate. Goals you’ve been working hard to actualize will take form, bringing forth a period of adjustment. Celebrate the efforts that have led you to these milestones, but prepare for increased work or responsibilities to keep the momentum going. Give yourself a few moments to reclaim balance, but consider what adjustments must be made so you can continue to build upon personal aspirations. Remember that personal evolution is an ongoing journey, giving yourself space to step into new and improved versions of yourself fully.
