July 2025 is a month of dramatic shifts and energetic upgrades. As we move deeper into the second half of the year, the cosmos invites us to embrace reinvention, while staying anchored in authenticity. This month conjures major planetary shifts that challenge us to break out of the old and fully step into the new. To navigate July, stay flexible, listen deeply, and express yourself with courage and heart. Here’s a summary of each notable transit of the month, and what this exciting energy will bring.

July 4 Venus Conjunct Uranus & Venus Enters Gemini

July opens with a jolt of electricity as Venus aligns with Uranus in Taurus on July 4. This aspect sparks sudden changes or breakthroughs in love, beauty, and finances. You can expect the unexpected because this is a time when relationship dynamics may shift, values get redefined, or creative inspiration strikes like lightning. Venus in Taurus is stable and loyal, but Uranus governs freedom. If you have the sudden urge to break free from a partnership, or you’re feeling rebellious, give yourself a few days before you make any permanent changes or decisions. On the flip side, this energy is great for stepping outside of your comfort zone, and bringing excitement to a relationship.

Later that same day, Venus enters curious, social Gemini, ushering in a lighter, more communicative vibe in our relationships. Connection becomes a mental game: we’re attracted to wit, charm, and stimulating conversations. Venus in Gemini encourages us to be more flexible in matters of the heart, and opens the door to networking, short trips, and flirty encounters, so stay open and ready to mingle.

July 4 Neptune Retrograde in Aries

Also on July 4, Neptune stations retrograde in Aries, beginning a five-month inward journey of spiritual refinement and recalibration. This retrograde invites us to examine where we may be overly idealistic or impulsive in our vision and actions. It’s a time to reconnect with our inner fire, but without burning out. Pay attention to dreams and intuitive nudges—they could hold the key to realignment.

July 7 Uranus Enters Gemini

A major energetic shift arrives on July 7 as Uranus moves into Gemini for the first time in over 70 years. This ingress begins an eight-year cycle of innovation and revolution in areas ruled by Gemini: communication, technology, education, transportation, and social networks. Expect rapid advancements in AI, digital platforms, aviation, and how we relate through information.

On a personal level, Uranus in Gemini challenges us to think differently, speak boldly, and question the narratives we’ve inherited. This is a time for mental liberation and creative rebellion.

July 7 Venus Trine Pluto

Also on July 7, Venus in Gemini forms a powerful trine to Pluto in Aquarius, adding depth and magnetism to our connections. This is a beautiful moment to form soul-level bonds, uncover hidden talents, or experience transformative insight through dialogue and artistic expression. Financial opportunities or major realizations around self-worth may also surface. Don’t be afraid to get deep.

July 12 Saturn Retrograde in Aries

On July 12, Saturn begins its retrograde in Aries, a transit that asks us to reflect on personal responsibility, discipline, and courage. Aries is the sign of the pioneer, and Saturn here wants us to take accountability for our leadership and self-starting instincts.

During this retrograde, we may be called to revisit plans initiated in May, or face challenges that help us mature in our expression of assertiveness. It’s a time for refining goals and strengthening foundations, not rushing ahead.

July 17 Mercury Retrograde in Leo

Mercury stations retrograde in Leo on July 17, adding drama and depth to conversations, creative projects, and public messaging. This retrograde brings a review period around self-expression, leadership style, and how we share our voice with the world.

Expect delays or shifts in communication and travel plans. Beware of ego clashes, and if you have a conflict with someone close to you, remember and focus on why you love them. A better use of this period is to revise, reflect, and rework anything related to writing, speaking, branding, or performance. The key is to stay flexible and open to seeing things from a new angle.

July 22 Sun Enters Leo

As the sun enters its home sign of Leo on July 22, the cosmic spotlight turns toward confidence, creativity, and play. Leo season invites us to shine unapologetically and celebrate what makes us unique. This is a powerful time to step into visibility, embrace joy, and lead with heart. Get back to your hobbies and what feels like fun and play. Leo energy is youthful, so this is a great time to honor your inner child.

July 24 Sun Trine Saturn, Sun Trine Neptune, Sun Opposite Pluto

July 24 is a day of mixed cosmic messages. The sun in Leo forms two supportive trines with Saturn and Neptune in Aries, bringing grounded inspiration and the ability to turn dreams into tangible plans. This is a great day for creative productivity, spiritual leadership, and visionary planning.

However, the sun also opposes Pluto in Aquarius, which can bring power struggles, ego clashes, or a need to confront deep fears. It’s a call to transform your relationship with visibility and power. Choose authenticity over control.

July 24 Leo New Moon

The same day, the Leo new moon offers a fresh start in self-expression, romance, and creative pursuits. This lunation is infused with potent energy to launch personal projects, reignite passion, or step into leadership roles. Set intentions around confidence, courage, and honoring your inner light.

With supportive aspects to Saturn and Neptune, there’s potential to create something with both staying power and soul. However, be mindful of Pluto’s influence—this is also a chance to let go of fears around being seen or judged.

July 30 Venus Enters Cancer

On July 30, Venus enters nurturing Cancer, shifting the tone in love and beauty toward comfort, care, and emotional connection. We crave safety, softness, and sincerity. This transit supports deepening bonds with family and chosen family, beautifying your home, or indulging in nostalgic pleasures. Financial decisions may also be influenced by a desire for long-term security and emotional alignment.

July 31 Mercury Cazimi

The month ends with a Mercury cazimi (conjunction with the sun) in Leo on July 31, offering a flash of clarity, insight, or breakthrough in communication. This is a golden moment to express yourself with confidence, pitch an idea, or share your message publicly.

While Mercury is still retrograde, this cazimi can help you articulate something that’s been brewing beneath the surface. It’s a great day to revisit a past idea and bring it into the spotlight with a new perspective.
