Your Weekly Tarot Reading for August 18–24: Embrace the Weird!
Our week begins with a full moon in innovative and progressive Aquarius, which provides a wonderful opportunity to expand our perspective, think outside of the box, seek solutions, and embrace our inner weirdness. A dose of self-acceptance and curiosity can do wonders in helping us create a much-needed sense of balance!
This particular full moon is known as the Sturgeon Moon, and it is named after the ancient fish that are abundant in lakes at this time of year. Because of this, it’s an optimal moment to consider your abundance: the progress you have made so far, the accomplishments that have come to fruition, and to welcome all that is yet to come. Noticing and celebrating what you already have gained makes it far easier to appreciate your blessings and welcome more of the same.
This week’s intuitively pulled Tarot cards encourage us to create space to be more mindful and seek a center of balance to make well-thought-out decisions. Don’t pay attention to the outside noise, the influence of others, or feel swayed by the comparison game; instead, turn inward to tap into your own intuition as your ultimate guide.
Read on for this week’s Tarotscopes with cosmic guidance and advice for your week ahead. Happy full moon!
Aries: Queen of Pentacles Reversed
Quit the comparison game, Aries. Instead of getting caught up in what everyone else is doing, use this week to refocus on your priorities and what you need to do. Cancel out the outside noise and create your own plan because you will feel so much better when you gain clarity around your own goals.
MO RE TAROT: How to read and use Tarot.
Taurus: Eight of Swords
Don’t block yourself in, Taurus. Who says an opportunity isn’t for you? You’re only imposing limits on yourself when you get in your head and talk yourself out of something you actually want to do. Don’t create the story that you are destined to fail when it’s just as likely that this could go better than you could imagine.
Gemini: The High Priestess
Pay attention to how you feel, Gemini. First impressions are everything, so when something initially feels off this week, don’t be so hasty as to brush aside your gut instincts. You don’t need to talk yourself out of your feelings. Instead, dive a little deeper, get more information, and listen to your heart as you steadily navigate how to proceed.
Cancer: Nine of Cups Reversed
Is this what you wanted, Cancer? Sometimes something is far better in our imaginations than in actuality, and this week’s situation proves this to be true. Consider how you can work with what you have been given in order to make it feel ideal. A little tweak could make a world of difference.

Leo: The Chariot Reversed
Be mindful of your choices, Leo. It’s understandable to be feeling impatient, but making a quick, rather impulsive decision as an attempt to get your situation moving isn’t the best way to go. Give yourself more time to think this through, even if sitting in the stillness is temporarily uncomfortable.
Virgo: King of Wands
Use your creativity, Virgo. If you find yourself facing the same problematic situation over and over again, then this week calls for a refreshed perspective. What if you try to solve the issue in a new way? Try something innovative or even unexpected in order to see new results.
Libra: Judgment
Be more self-aware, Libra. If you find yourself in the same set of circumstances over and over again, at some point, you must acknowledge that the common denominator is you! To avoid making the same mistake again, do some self-reflection to own your part so you can make different choices in the future.
MORE TAROT: Need an answer about something in your career path?
Scorpio: Page of Pentacles Reversed
Feeling bored, Scorpio? Everyone loses motivation and lacks inspiration at some point, but if the blase vibe has stuck around for a little longer than usual, then this is your time to address it. Something needs to change in order for your current situation to feel refreshed. Focus on figuring out what that could be.
Sagittarius: Three of Cups
All work and no play is no good, Sagittarius! The best antidote for endless grinding is having fun with your friends. This week calls for a little adventure! Take some time off from work and prioritize letting loose with your besties. Go somewhere new that you’ve been putting off trying in favor of the proper occasion. This is it!
Capricorn: King of Swords
Embrace all sides, Capricorn. Everyone is attempting to pull you into their drama this week, and if you must get involved (and it looks like you do!) then the best way to navigate this tricky situation is through objective fairness. Hear everyone out and indulge multiple perspectives before making your judgment call.

Aquarius: Strength Reversed
Be kinder to yourself, Aquarius. Have you noticed how you have been speaking to yourself lately? Harsh criticism, stringent judgment, and unrealistic expectations all contribute to a vibe that is honestly not very motivating. Ease up and allow yourself to improve with a gentler approach and softer pace.
Pisces: Nine of Wands
Muster up a little more strength, Pisces. You’re almost there—but not quite yet! It’s been a long road to get here thus far, and this is the final push to get you past the finish line! Use your energy wisely, don’t give up, and definitely don’t get distracted! You’ve got this.
