Your Weekly Tarot Reading: December 14-20, 2020

This week’s powerful new moon eclipse offers a moment of reflection to enjoy the present moment before moving forward into the possibilities of the future. According to the Tarot cards, new opportunities abound, which must be carefully considered.

This week take the time to ruminate about the possibilities of your long-term success before indulging in the temptation of instant gratification. The decisions you are making now will have a major impact on what is to come for you in 2021.

Aries: Ten of Cups

Everything is coming together beautifully for you, Aries! The projects you have been working on are nearing completion and your long-term goals are being realized. Let your loved ones celebrate you and all of your accomplishments! Enjoy this moment because you have worked so hard for it.

Taurus: Queen of Cups Reversed

Focus on your own well-being, Taurus. If you have been feeling emotionally drained lately, it’s time to listen to your heart and take a step back from everyone’s drama. This is not the week to get involved with everyone else’s stuff. Do not be afraid to set some firm boundaries.

Gemini: Five of Wands Reversed

Stop ignoring the issue, Gemini! You have been trying to spare others’ feelings by not getting into conflicts and biting your tongue, but this behavior is no longer serving you. Stop deflecting and share your point of view. It’s better to get everything out in the open.

Cancer: Four of Swords Reversed

Take care of yourself, Cancer! Stress has been taking its toll on you, and now you need to recharge. Remember that if you completely burn out, you will not be able to help anyone else. If you are feeling exhausted, you need to listen to your body and rest. Quiet your mind and chill with a soothing guided meditation.

Leo: The Tower Reversed

It’s okay to change your mind, Leo. Be aware of how your opinions and values are shifting now. Trust this process because what was working for you before might not be working now. This is a time of personal growth, so stay open and continue to explore as you evolve into this new version of yourself.

Virgo: Ten of Pentacles

Focus on your family, Virgo. Check-in on your loved ones this week, and not just with a quick text! Pick up the phone and make it a priority to have some quality time to actually talk about how everyone is feeling. After that, put your restless energy into organizing the family Zoom for the holidays. No one is better suited for the job than you!

What does each Tarot card mean?

Libra: The Fool

Take a chance, Libra. This is a good week to try something new and completely unexpected! Follow your whims, and do not let your inner critic talk you out of it. Take yourself out on an adventure! This is an opportunity to discover something unexpected about yourself.

Scorpio: Seven of Wands

Stand up for yourself, Scorpio! Expect to feel some pushback this week, but do not let it get you down. You need to be firm in your convictions because you might not be able to change someone’s mind right away. If you are able to hold out against outside pressure, you will gain success.

Sagittarius: The Lovers Reversed

Make amends, Sagittarius. Poorly made decisions from your past are coming to light, and you need to deal with the consequences of your actions. Own your actions because you cannot change the past, but you can make your apologies and vow to make better choices in the future. Remember that instant gratification does not usually lead to long-term happiness.

Capricorn: Seven of Swords Reversed

Believe in yourself, Capricorn. Imposter syndrome has been getting you down lately, and it is having major effects on your productivity levels. Acknowledge these feelings and explore where they stem from in your mind. Remind yourself of all of your accomplishments, and remember that you have so much experience in order to be successful.

Aquarius: King of Swords

Remain objective, Aquarius. When making a major decision this week, view all sides carefully and weigh your options. Lean into your intellect and avoid being swayed by your emotions. This situation needs a more logical approach in order to reach the best resolution. Remember that there is no rush, and you can take all of the time you need right now.

Pisces: Ten of Pentacles Reversed

Do not give in to the temptation of instant gratification, Pisces. Be sure to think about the long-term effects of the decisions you are making right now. Take a moment and carefully consider your options before moving forward. The easy way out can catch up to you and make your future more stressful than necessary.
