Your Aries Season Tarot Pull Helps You Find Power in Stillness
Dear readers, as the sun shifts into Aries on March 19 and we welcome the Spring Equinox, Spirit sends a message for all signs to ponder: “Meditate on the power of The Hanged Man.”
The Hanged Man brings introspection, patience, and quietude to balance the drive and determination of Aries. When things are not moving at the pace we expect, The Hanged Man asks us to trust in divine timing. When we try to take steps to move forward, but we feel like we are actually moving backwards, The Hanged Man asks us to be present wherever we are. When we are aware of how we want to grow and evolve, but we keep sliding back to old self-destructive patterns, The Hanged Man asks us to tune in to our souls. When all our actions, and hard efforts, and forcing things to happen are not allowing us to progress, The Hanged Man asks us to surrender, call in Spirit for guidance, and find power in the stillness.
Your Tarotscopes below will help you tune into what your soul needs to focus on or address during this Aries season. Read for your sun, moon, and rising.
ARIES
Page of Cups & The Magician
Dear Aries, happy birthday! During your birth season the Tarot invites you to dream, to dive into your pool of intuition, for they hold the keys to manifestation.
The Page of Cups is the empath, the creative, the awareness that we are being guided by Spirit. The Magician is the creator, the one who wields the forces of the universe.
The sewing machine, the double helix of our DNA, Einstein’s theory of relativity, all these groundbreaking discoveries and inventions were all downloaded in a dream. The Page of Cups asks us to pay attention to our dreams. When we dream, we travel to dimensions of infinite possibility, where we are not bound by the laws of time and space. Accompanied by The Magician, our dreams can be harnessed and focused on the physical. Step into your power, you have the tools, the resources, but the most important thing is faith. Fantasy can be turned into reality, as long as it comes from your heart and soul, and it is aligned with who you truly are. You can make magic happen.
TAURUS
6 of Cups & King of Pentacles
Dear Taurus, this Aries season the Tarot invites you to seek comfort and harmony.
The 6 of Cups is the card of reconnection and the inner child. The King of Pentacles is the provider, a source of stability and safety.
We all have moments of vulnerability when all we want to do is hide under a rock where we feel safe and secure. In those moments, ask what your inner child needs. Does it need a friend? Does it need a blanket and a television? Does it need a deep session of meditation? Find the people, places, or things that embody the energy of The King of Pentacles. This energy is strong and supportive. This energy is protective like a shield and grounding like an anchor. Perhaps even you are this anchor for some of your loved ones. Honor the time and space your inner child needs to process, to be silly, to laugh, and to cry.
GEMINI
The Hanged Man & 10 of Wands
Dear Gemini, this Aries season the Tarot invites you to surrender the burdens that are not yours to carry.
The Hanged Man appears again, as a reminder of the collective message at the beginning of this article. The 10 of Wands is the card of responsibility and extreme effort.
Sometimes, we cannot be everything to everyone. Sometimes, we cannot do everything someone asks us to do. And sometimes, we cannot take on everything that we put on ourselves to accomplish. The Hanged Man asks us to let go of what is not necessary, to let go of what is out of our control. It is valiant to try, but the 10 of Wands warns us that we may be burning ourselves out. We must take care of our physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental wellbeing first. We are more effective and more productive when we are rested, when we have an awareness of what we are capable of and what we are not yet capable of. Think of the sacred practice of yoga, where we are encouraged to push ourselves, but to also honor and surrender to what is too difficult, otherwise we would incur injuries.
CANCER
Page of Swords & 8 of Swords
Dear Cancer, this Aries season the Tarot invites you to find freedom and clarity.
The Page of Swords is the seeker of truth, the student of the world. The 8 of Swords is the illusion of entrapment.
Our thoughts can be a source of expansion, or they can act as mental prisons. The 8 of Swords asks us to become aware of how we play the victim. There is comfort in being the victim because then we can blame all of our problems and issues on outside sources. It is time to take responsibility. The Page of Swords shows us that the way out of the trap of victim mentality is through knowledge. We must learn about our triggers—we must understand the way our mind works. Your teacher can be a self-help book, a therapist, a meditation class, or a TED talk on YouTube. Be curious about yourself and explore the root causes of your victimhood so you may heal and ascend.
LEO
6 of Pentacles & 8 of Cups
Dear Leo, this Aries season the Tarot invites you to open your heart to receiving.
The 6 of Pentacles is the card of gifts and generosity. The 8 of Cups is the card of disappointment, of leaving something behind.
We all need help. As a proud Leo, it may be difficult sometimes to accept this help. We may have been programmed to believe that receiving is a form of weakness, that it lessens our ability to do and to provide for ourselves. The 8 of Cups communicates to us that it does not always feel good to receive, that we may even prefer to walk away than to receive much-needed help. We do not want to feel dependent. The 6 of Cups comes in to remind us that part of the reason we are here is to help each other. We have friends, families, and communities that want to give, so we must work on our pride so we can receive with gratitude and grace. We can be both self-sufficient and have the humility to know when we need aid.
VIRGO
Queen of Wands & 2 of Cups
Dear Virgo, this Aries season the Tarot invites you to spend time with those that make you feel your best.
The Queen of Wands is the card of confidence, radiance, and expression. The 2 of Cups is the card of relationships and soulmates, whether romantic or platonic.
The people closest to you should hold you up, support you, love you unconditionally, and help you shine your light. As we evolve, we may find that some people in our lives will begin to question us, and some may even judge us. Look at your inner circle, the Queen of Wands asks that you surround yourself only with those that truly see the light inside of you. The 2 of Cups reminds us that soulmates are not just romantic, they can be our friends, family members, coworkers, anyone who connects with us on a soul level. Put effort into nurturing the relationships that encourage you to be your authentic self, and nothing less.
LIBRA
The Hierophant & 10 of Pentacles
Dear Libra, this Aries season the Tarot invites you to seek security through your own sense of Spirituality.
The Hierophant is the card of spiritual knowledge. The 10 of Pentacles is the card of home, family, and fulfillment.
As you strive toward material wealth and outward success, The Hierophant asks you to put as much effort into your Spirit. What do you believe in? What do you stand for? What do you feel is your purpose here on Earth? The 10 of Pentacles wants you to feel bliss and satisfaction in all areas of your life. You don’t have to have millions of dollars in your bank account to feel wealthy and abundant. Tend to your Spirit in order to achieve true fulfillment. We all know that the richest people in the world are not necessarily the happiest. Money and success are never guaranteed, but the fulness of your soul is something that cannot be taken away.
SCORPIO
Ace of Swords & 4 of Swords
Dear Scorpio, this Aries season the Tarot invites you to find clarity through rest and reflection.
The Ace of Swords is the card of epiphanies. The 4 of Swords is the card of momentary pause and respite.
Overthinking rarely leads to sudden breakthroughs. The mind is proud, it believes it can outthink any problem. However, how often have you heard of people who receive flash insights and miraculous breakthroughs that came when they were doing something mundane like sleeping, chores, or walking through a forest? The 4 of Swords asks you to give your mind a rest. If you feel you’ve hit a roadblock, sometimes the best thing to do is to think of something else completely, to do something that calms you, and then to come back to the issue with fresh energy. The Ace of Swords declares that the inspiration you seek will not come from your brain, but a source that is divine. We just have to pause long enough to allow it.
SAGITTARIUS
3 of Wands & 7 of Wands
Dear Sagittarius, this Aries season the Tarot invites you to expand past your limitations.
The 3 of Wands is the card of adventure and opportunity. The 7 of Wands is the card of power and adversity.
Go forth on your path to self-realization. The 3 of Wands declares that you have the right ideas, the right mindset, the right motivation. If you are true to yourself, you will be guided. Whether this is a business venture, a spiritual endeavor, or a new course of study—allow your excitement and your desire for expansion lead you. The 7 of Wands reminds you that the road will not always be smooth. You will face many challenges, you will be tested, and people may try to discourage you or knock you off your path. In these times, muster the courage and gusto inherent within to overcome and triumph.
CAPRICORN
4 of Wands & 7 of Swords
Dear Capricorn, this Aries season the Tarot invites you to accept that life can be wonderful.
The 4 of Wands is the card of celebration and joy. The 7 of Swords is the card of the saboteur. Life is hard. We are here to learn lessons, to transcend our ego, and sometimes those lessons can be painful and full of sorrow. However, life can also be magical. Life can be full of laughter and love, and the 4 of Wands states that this state of being can be long-lasting. Life can be amazing and difficult all at the same time. The 7 of Swords asks you to look at the ways you sabotage yourself from receiving life’s blessings. Do you feel you are not worthy? Are you often too cynical and untrusting? Do you think that the world is out to get you? Life can be a party, make sure you are not the one sucking all the fun out of it.
AQUARIUS
Ace of Pentacles & 5 of Swords
Dear Aquarius, this Aries season the Tarot invites you to find the lessons and gifts in every experience.
The Ace of Pentacles brings new opportunities and blessings. The 5 of Swords is the card of conflict and the aftermath of a battle.
You win some, you lose some. The 5 of Swords reminds us that we can’t conquer every challenge, we can’t come out on top all of the time. We will lose opportunities to other people, we will lose arguments, we will lose fights. But with every loss comes the moment to strengthen and self-reflect. The Ace of Pentacles offers a different perspective in the face of defeat. What lessons did we learn? How can we do better next time? Was this even a battle worth fighting? The Ace of Pentacles asks us to fortify ourselves, to find the silver lining in the unwanted outcomes, to pick ourselves up and try again.
PISCES
Knight of Cups & The Devil
Dear Pisces, this Aries season the Tarot invites you to enjoy the physical gifts of this earthly plane.
The Knight of Cups is the card of emotional excitement, romance, and indulgence. The Devil is the card of physical pleasure and addiction.
We are physical beings, and we drive pleasure from physical experiences. Sex, food, wine, etc. How do you relate to your physical body? Do you revel in the magical sensations you can feel? Do you place judgement on yourself and others? The Devil is neither good nor bad, it is all about balance. You can indulge, but do not be overrun, and be aware if your relationship to physical pleasure is healthy or if it is an addiction. The Knight of Cups wants us to live, to seek fulfillment, to smell the roses—and The Devil reminds us to be aware of ourselves, so our desires do not turn into dependencies.
