The Full Moon in Libra Calls for a Balanced Approach

At 4:12 a.m. PST on April 19, 2019, the full moon will be in Libra.

Day and night. Good and evil. Up and down. Yin and yang. We may think of them as total opposites, but the truth is, you can’t have one without the other.

The same goes for the sun and moon—especially at the full moon each month when their opposition in the sky mirrors the tension between seemingly opposite energies in our own lives. And with this full moon in Libra, we’re even more keenly aware of our own contradictions.

Fortunately, though, we’re also more willing to embrace them. That’s because, as the sign of the scales, Libra is always seeking balance. And more often than not, that means finding the middle ground.

After all, most things in life aren’t all black and white—and Libra helps us to see the shades of gray.

What Does the Full Moon in Libra Mean?

Still, sometimes we do need to pick a side…and at this full moon, that’s no easy task. Fortunately, if we’re taking too long to make up our minds about something, the decisive Aries sun is there to hurry us along. When in doubt, go with your gut and do what feels right!

That doesn’t only mean what’s right for you, however. With this full moon in the sign of relationships, we’re asked to balance other people’s feelings, wants, and needs with our own—after all, it’s only fair.

What do the stars have in store for you this year?

Libra is very big on fairness, both in our personal relationships and in society at large. So, it’s no surprise that this full moon shines a light on any imbalances or injustices that need to be addressed. Strong emotions can get stirred up—but with Libra’s emphasis on people-pleasing, we may be scared to make any waves.

Fair enough—this full moon probably isn’t the best time to go looking for a fight. Still, with Libra’s gifts of communication, cooperation, and compromise on our side, a little controversy may be nothing to fear.

Taurus

Kindness is its own reward, Taurus —but that doesn’t necessarily mean there’s nothing in it for you. By your calculations, helping someone out at this full moon means having favors to cash in later.
