Moon in Pisces: Connect with your Dream Self MUGWORT

Today, on the eve of Halloween, the moon and Neptune are conjunct in Pisces. This is the home of the spirits and the invisible, and the sign of faith, belief, and the dream-world.

Neptune has been in Pisces for five years now, the natural placement for the god of the sea, contributing to a resurgence of restoring value to spiritual practices, on personal and global levels.

When the moon, the planet of our intuition and a strong connection to the astral plane and nighttime energy, joins with Neptune, we have a prime window of time to do some playing around in the ether.

Our companion here is mugwort.

Mugwort has powerful physical properties. For instance, it is burned as moxa in traditional Chinese medicine to ease tension and pain with its warming. However, mugwort is best known for its ability to take our consciousness on journeys while we sleep, or in meditation.

What are your dreams trying to tell you?

Drinking mugwort tea, taking a tincture, or spraying yourself and your bed with a prepared mugwort solution can open up lucid dreaming, visionary dreaming, or receiving messages while you sleep. Dried mugwort can be placed in the bedroom for the same effect.

Mugwort has a lot of versatility for the same effect: the dried plant can be burned, placed, or combined with water and sprayed in a room. It can be ingested into the body through drink, or used directly on the skin as an oil.

In all cases, it can open a door to the subconscious, to our intuition, to our ancestors, to our dream-selves.
