With the south node in Virgo, the eclipse portals for the next 18 months will accelerate your ability to fully step into complete trust with your intuition, and leave behind old, outdated systems of perfectionism, overcontrol, and criticism. The north node in Pisces is here to help you remember just who you truly are and your destiny in the world.
Venus Exalted In Pisces
Venus, the planet of love, beauty, and abundance, moves into exaltation under the sign of Pisces on January 2 until February 3, ushering in a powerful wave of positive energy as you tune into what it is you want to create in the coming year. During this transit you may want to think about how you desire to feel in conjunction with the goals you are setting this Capricorn Season. This is about getting dreamy in the realm of love and money, and investing your energy into the choices that will support you in the coming year to achieve just that.
Astrologer Tamerri Ater, AstroFashionista says, “ Venus will retrograde this year and spend more time than usual in Pisces and Aries. The themes that come up in January surrounding money, relationships, pleasure, and creativity, are clues for what you may need to focus on for the first half of the year, so pay attention.”
Mars Retrograde in Cancer
Mars retrogrades back into Cancer on January 6 until February 23. As the planet of action takes a backseat this month, it’s helping you tap back into your creative genius and slowing down enough to listen to what that is. Mars is in its fall in Cancer, and it may have you revisit some lingering themes from 2024 regarding your relationships, connection to your intuition, and overall wellbeing. During Mars in Cancer, you may not necessarily see the external result, but trust where the universe and cosmos are leading you. Allow yourself more time to discern with the choices you make, and triple check if they are truly aligned for you. Prioritize trust and flow with the energies of this month, and you will see miracles happen.
Sun in Capricorn square Chiron in Aries, Mercury in Capricorn
Moving with the themes of trust, on January 8 the sun will square Chiron in Aries as Mercury moves into Capricorn until January 27, giving you solid awareness around where to invest your time and energy for the coming year. You may have more than one opportunity in front of you, and as the square between the sun and Chiron heightens this week, it will ask you to root into your leadership skills to bring about the success you desire. Remember, you certainly have everything it takes, it’s just about believing you are worth it, too.
Cancer Full Moon / Sun Trine Uranus Rx in Taurus
Our first full moon of 2025 at 23 degrees Cancer on January 13 is nothing short of pure healing magic. As the sign of the mother and ruled by the moon itself, the Cancer full moon conjuncts Mars Rx in Cancer and is illuminated by the sun trine Uranus Rx in Taurus. This alignment will bring deep healing, however it touches you, and may carry resolution to conflicts around money/stability/foundation that you have been carrying for sometime. Let yourself be witnessed by the cosmos and surrender to the unique strength and wisdom you hold, for those are the keys to overflow.
Welcome in the Season of the Visionary
As the sun moves into Aquarius on January 19, it brings with it a star-filled season of breakthrough’s, leadership, and finally, some ( not completely direct ) forward momentum – but still forward. The Uranus ruled sign brings a Plutonian cazimi (conjunction) with the sun on January 21, and bridges the gap from idea to reality, as Mercury transits into Aquarius on January 27. Roll up your sleeves because Aquarius is here to help you get to work on the visions you have been holding for yourself and the collective for sometime. Don’t be afraid to share your perspective with others, collaboration is how we make dreams a reality.
Aquarius New Moon / Uranus Stations Direct
Can you feel it?? The breakthrough you have been calling in is here.
The new moon at 9 degrees Aquarius on January 29 trines Jupiter Rx in Gemini, conjuncts Mercury in Aquarius, and is here to set you free, just as Uranus (Aquarius’s planetary ruler of surprise) stations direct in Taurus the very next day, January 30.
The energy of this new moon is giving new life, new beginnings, new connections, and even new community after all that healing, dreaming, and allowing we did earlier in the month. This new moon invites you to see the bigger picture of your desires and catalyzes the support and connections you need to make it a reality in 2025.
