MERCURY RX IN ARIES, BY RISING SIGN:
Your rising sign, also known as your ascendant, is calculated by identifying what sign was rising on the eastern horizon at the moment of your birth.
Don’t know your rising sign? Find out here!
Your rising sign signifies how you are perceived by others, indicating not so much how you see yourself, but how others see you.
In that sense, the ascendant is your communicating sign, the one that sends silent signals without you even knowing it.
With that in mind, here are insights as to how this Mercury retrograde cycle will unfold for you – and how you can make the best of it – according to your rising sign.
Aries Rising With the Mercury retrograde in Aries occurring in your first house – and in your ascendant sign, no less – you’ll be challenged to review how you show up in the world. These confrontations may manifest most obviously in your career or workplace. Support and growth will come by focusing on pleasurable endeavors that help you to release any frustrations.
Taurus Rising With the Mercury retrograde in Aries happening in your twelfth house, you may feel a deep need to check out of normal life, so you can refresh and renew. During that time, you may review the ways in which spirituality and foreign travel (or the lack of it) are impacting your sense of wellbeing. Support and growth will come by connecting to the creature comforts of home and family.
Gemini Rising With the Mercury retrograde in Aries happening in your eleventh house, your challenge during this transit will be to make important reviews in friendships and groups, both old and new. Some connections empower us, and some drain us: the trick now is to discover which is which. Support and growth will come by finding the right words – one of your greatest talents – to express what needs to be said.
Cancer Rising With the Mercury retrograde in Aries happening in your tenth house, you may be pulled into serious-minded career conversations with business partners or run across old foes. In the face of either encounter, focus on acting with integrity, and carefully selecting your words. Support and growth will come by focusing on cultivating your talents.
Leo Rising With the Mercury retrograde in Aries happening in your ninth house, you may be revisiting desires to expand your worldview, whether that involves wanderlust abroad or a journey within the soul. Is there possibly too much to-do list drudgery keeping you from reaching those goals? Support and growth will come when you zero in on exactly what would best fill your cup. (Hint: it’s likely food for the soul.)
Virgo Rising With the Mercury retrograde in Aries happening in your eighth house, you may need to work on releasing toxic emotions. The best place for them may be in art or creative movement. Support and growth come from understanding how repressed emotions fester into something more. Better out than in, as the saying goes.
Libra Rising With the Mercury retrograde in Aries happening in your seventh house, you may face tough conversations with romantic partners, particularly if there are matters to discuss around your houses, home, or family. Libra is supremely diplomatic, but this transit may call for slightly more verve. Support and growth come from connecting your need to speak up with your most precious aspirations: you won’t have one unless you do the other, too.
Scorpio Rising With the Mercury retrograde in Aries happening in your sixth house, you may need a checkup from the neck up. If the body is a temple, how would you currently rate your own? You may find that your own limiting beliefs are what’s blocking you from attaining the health you deserve. Support and growth come from recognizing how daily actions – however dull – will eventually lead you towards career advancement.
Sagittarius Rising With the Mercury retrograde in Aries happening in your fifth house, you may be weighing up the cost of your indulgences. If your piggy bank is suffering from too much retail therapy, or your self-esteem is feeling tested by romantic entanglements, you may want to hit pause. Support and growth come from hitting the open road in search of higher wisdom.
Capricorn Rising With the Mercury retrograde in Aries happening in your fourth house, you may find yourself itching to step back from responsibilities around family and home. If certain family members still get your goat (pun intended – sorry), apply extra care in inter-family communications. Support and growth come from delving below the surface of emotional interactions (both yours and theirs).
Aquarius Rising With the Mercury retrograde in Aries happening in your third house, you may be exploring new ways to be in a relationship with the deepest recesses of your mind. Sometimes, our inner boogeyman can do a lot of good, propelling us to work harder and achieve more; other times, he keeps us from feeling any satisfaction at all. Support and growth come from our partners in work or love, who help us see ourselves for who we are instead of who we fear we are.
Pisces Rising With the Mercury retrograde in Aries happening in your second house, you may be poring over your incoming and outgoing monies. If what you see on paper doesn’t align with the plans you’ve concocted, prepare for a financial course correction. Support and growth may come from finding new ways to generate funds through acts of service.
