Explore New Depths With Tarot Cards Pulled for Pisces Season

As the sun shifts into Pisces, spirit offers an encompassing message for all signs to ponder. It is a word or a phrase, but a spirit animal: the whale. This magnificent creature asks us to dive into the depths of our soul. The whale swims below the surface, unafraid of the darkness and withstanding the pressure of the unknown. It then rises, to release, to let go, to bring the hidden into the light, and to breathe once again.

When we were young, we were taught how to read, how to write, how to add and subtract, but we were rarely taught what to do with our emotions—how to process them, and what the lessons behind them were. We were told not to cry, not to be angry, not to be sad, that just because we weren’t feeling “positive” there was something wrong with us.

The whale urges us to listen to what our emotions are communicating, thus bringing back an awareness that we have kept locked away for too long. What behavioral patterns do you wish to break? What beliefs do you hold that keep you stuck? Why do certain people and certain situations trigger you? How do you want to grow on an emotional and spiritual level? Ask the spirit of the whale to help you uncover what lies beneath. Journaling, meditating, therapy, yoga, hypnosis—try different methods to see what resonates with you, and begin to understand yourself on a deeper level.

ARIES

Justice and The Fool

Dear Aries, this Pisces season offers an opportunity to clear your karma, to right the wrongs, to balance the scales and to move forward with a clear conscience.

Is there someone that you need to apologize to? Is there something weighing heavy on your heart, something you know was your doing but have not yet had the chance to atone for? Perhaps it is you who needs to accept the forgiveness, to release your victimhood.

It is difficult to move forward when guilt nags at us, or when we cling to the hurts of the past. Justice wants you to be free of such burdens. Instead of trying to be right, or trying to win an argument, try to sympathize, try to understand, and try to see the bigger picture. If we come with the intention of peace instead of victory, we can receive the blessings of The Fool, who wants us to start anew—without the baggage—so we may run, dance, and fly towards lightness, freedom, and love.

TAURUS

The Chariot and The Hermit

Dear Taurus, this Pisces season you will make great strides. Your progress will be remarkable; you will leap over the rules to break new ground. However, to charge ahead into the future, you must give yourself moments of rest and reflection.

The Chariot supports your forward momentum and your desire for success and recognition. When you feel that surge of energy, run with it. Use that excitement and passion to propel you in whatever you want to accomplish.

Along with the action you implement in the outer world, remember to take time for yourself. You need to recharge—to walk away from what you are doing even just for a moment. When you are tired, honor that. Energy is infinite, but your physical body stores a finite amount. The time you spend in quiet contemplation will allow you to continue your journey. It will also allow you to gain wisdom, intuitively determine your next steps, and maintain a clear and focused mind.

GEMINI

8 of Cups and 6 of Cups

Dear Gemini, this Pisces season, what relationships or situations do you feel you want to walk away from? Everyone is talking about Marie Kondo, who says to “keep only those things that speak to your heart.” We can do this not just without belongings, but with our relationships as well.

If a relationship feels imbalanced, if you are giving more than the other person, and if the relationship drains you more than it makes you happy, perhaps it is time to reevaluate why you choose to stick around.

The 8 of cups says that it is okay to leave a relationship behind if you do not feel it serves your highest good. The 6 of cups wants you to focus on the connections that are reciprocal, unconditional, and motivated by true love and friendship. There are so many wonderful experiences to be had with incredibly wonderful people, but you can’t get there if you continue to put effort into one-sided relationships.

CANCER

The Tower and 8 of Pentacles

Dear Cancer, this Pisces season, know that when things fall apart, it is because they are meant to, and it is so that you can build something new with a stronger foundation.

The Tower is one of the most feared cards of the deck; people think that they will lose their job, their relationship will end, or their finances will plummet. But The Tower has something more profound to teach us. It comes as a reckoning, a wake-up call, saying that what you thought was your safety net was never that. Do not cling so tightly to what can so easily be taken away.

The 8 of Pentacles states that we will always continue to build, even when a structure crumbles, it is not the end. It is only an instance, and we can try to rebuild from where that structure stood, or build something completely new and integrate all the wisdom gained from what it seems we have lost. We are never finished; we are always building and rebuilding. Think of destruction as a clean slate, an opportunity to ascend and do it differently.

LEO

10 of Wands and 8 of Swords

Dear Leo, this Pisces season be easy on your self, know when there is too much on your plate, and know what you don’t have the capacity to take on more.

Sometimes we over commit—we say we can do things knowing full well that doing that extra task will completely burn us out. The 10 of Wands asks you to acknowledge when enough is enough. It wants you to know that it is okay to say no or to drop things that you don’t actually feel like doing.

The 8 of Swords supports this message and states that the things you over commit to take away from your freedom. By taking on more than you can handle, you place yourself in a trap. Learn that you have the power to free yourself. Ask for more time, delegate, or simply say no. Set healthy boundaries and know that your time and energy are precious.

VIRGO

7 of Wands and 10 of Pentacles

Dear Virgo, this Pisces season, the work you have done to overcome obstacles will pay off in splendid and magical ways.

The 7 of Wands acknowledges your ingenuity. You have kept your cool under pressure, you have wowed others with your resourcefulness and problem-solving skills, and you’ve fought your way to success. It may have been challenging at times, but know that it was worth it.

The 10 of Pentacles is a wonderful omen stating that reward is not far off. The foundations you have laid are strong, and you have gained not just for yourself, but for your team, and your loved ones. There is a feeling of completion. Show gratitude to what has been accomplished, and do not forget to thank yourself for your efforts. As abundance flows into your life, allow the energy to multiply, be charitable, and radiate that wealth and positivity so it inspires others.

LIBRA

5 of Swords and The Moon

Dear Libra, this Pisces season, during times of conflict, try not to be reactive, and instead be reflective. The 5 of Swords depicts disagreements, conflict, resentment, and victory at the cost of defeat. The Moon speaks to what is hidden: the subconscious and the things we do not directly know or see.

A quote comes to mind, “Be kind to everyone you meet for everyone is fighting a battle you know nothing about.” When people are combative, they are reacting out of fear. If you knew what someone was truly going through, if you knew their life story, their motivations, you may look at their actions differently, and you may be more empathetic and understanding, instead of judgmental and defensive.

This does not mean to back down if you are challenged or to be submissive to anyone who tries to overpower you. But if you can tap into your intuition and understand them on an energetic and emotional level, you may be able to bring peace, resolution, and harmony instead of war.

SCORPIO

2 of Swords and 3 of Pentacles

Dear Scorpio, this Pisces season there will be no time to second guess, the cogs are turning, the ship is moving, and you have to pick up your pace and move along with it.

There is a difference between taking your time to contemplate and reflect and taking your time because you can not decide. The 2 of Swords speaks of indecision, not seeing clearly, or having a limited point of view. When you find yourself continuously questioning, it is okay to seek assistance from the people around you. Whether it is concerning your personal or professional life, know that you have people to support you and that often you are working toward the same goal.

The 3 of Pentacles is about teamwork and cooperation. You don’t have to do it all by yourself, we are here to help each other. Turn towards those you can trust and allow them to help lift you out of the gutter.

SAGITTARIUS

6 of Wands and Judgement

Dear Sagittarius, this Pisces season realize that you do not need validation from others to feel worthy or attain success.

You are worthy as you are, you do not need to prove anything to anyone. The more you root this in your belief system, the more you can tap into the energy of the 6 of wands. If there were no audience, no one to praise you, would you still do what you were doing? Does it fulfill you enough that your enjoyment is all you need?

The Judgment card heralds a spiritual awakening. You will understand that you must do things for you. You must do things because your soul calls you to. You came to this physical plane to express, to create, to be wonderful and grand. Any prizes or any acknowledgment you may receive will feel amazing, but they are just icing on top of the cake. As long as you are proud of yourself, and you acknowledge yourself, no one else’s opinions matter.

CAPRICORN

7 of Cups and The Lovers

Dear Capricorn, this Pisces season be aware of your projections and the illusions you cast upon the concept of love and romance.

The 7 of Cups sees things with rose-colored glasses: there is too much fantasy, too many expectations. Fairytales and movies have painted love to be this perfect relationship where all troubles are resolved within 90 minutes. In truth, a romantic relationship acts as a mirror. The Lovers card, to me, is never about easy love. It is about truth, and evolution, and balance. Our partners can be our greatest teachers, the things they do that trigger us, the joys, the heartaches, all contain important lessons.

It is not that they complete us in a literal sense, but the relationship you share with your partner, that union, can help you retrieve parts of yourself that were lost. It can help you surface traumas that you have not healed; it can help you become whole unto yourself.

AQUARIUS

Queen of Pentacles and The High Priestess

Dear Aquarius, this Pisces season you are being empowered by the divine feminine energies of the moon and of the home.

The Queen of Pentacles brings the energy of domesticity. Not in the docile, submissive sense, but in the sense of creating a beautiful home, where you can truly feel safe. The High Priestess brings the energy of intuition, meditation, and spirituality. She asks you to tune into the cycles of the moon, to work with the unseen, to communicate with your spirit guides and ancestors.

Make your home a place where you can momentarily shut out the outside world, where you can sit in stillness, and bring yourself back to you. Allow your home to revitalize you. Spend the time and effort required to transform your home into a true sanctuary. Set an intention for what you want your home to do for you, for it is a living and breathing space with an energy all its own.

PISCES

The Sun and The Hierophant

Dear Pisces, during your birth season, be curious, ask questions, as the knowledge you seek will pave the way for great clarity, vitality, and joy.

The Hierophant wants you to gain wisdom. It wants you to be both teacher and student. Seek knowledge that helps you transcend, seek knowledge that deepens your understanding of your role on this physical plane. Look beyond what you were taught in school.

The Sun promises illumination, you will see things in a different light. In your quest to understand yourself, the universe, the nature of reality, the nature of love, you will find true happiness. This happiness will not come from outside of you. It will come from remembering who you truly are, and your connection to all that is. It is not so much a text or an organized teaching, it more of a frequency, a vibration of well being, and inner peace.
