Everything You Need to Know About May’s Scorpio Full Moon
An intense yet regenerative ambiance emerges on May 1, when the Scorpio full moon brightens our night sky. The cycles of birth, death, and rebirth are accentuated, forcing us all to honor the process of transformation. Do not fight where the universe guides you, even if you are left in the wake of destruction. Sometimes the only way to battle stagnancy is to start from scratch. Though the journey isn’t always inviting, seek power and personal growth. Pluto, the ruler of this lunation, isn’t afraid to traverse the unknown. Recognize that it is better to swim through dark waters in search of the shore, than take your chances on a sinking ship.
Introspection plays a major role in this astrological event. It is necessary to confront one’s demons so they can be tamed. Appreciate all that the shadow can offer, considering how it might be leveraged for good. Jealousy may be used as a motivator for self-improvement, rather than an excuse to lash out. Obsessive tendencies will quickly grow toxic if directed toward negative thoughts or matters of the heart. However, this same energy can propel one to master a craft or topic that brings a stirring to the soul. Give into the taboo compulsions that drive you, redirecting them to generate strength instead of feeding into weaknesses.
Across from Luna’s glow, the Taurus sun offers stability. The Taurus/Scorpio axis of this full moon hinges on highlights to duality between stability and change. Foundations shift throughout life, yet the earth’s consistent presence offers security. When working with the energy of this lunation, consider how pruning foliage improves the overall health of a shrub. Look for the leggy, dying, or sickly branches within your life, severing the connection. Your roots will continue to pull in nutrients, distributing them more efficiently to relationships and goals you’ve chosen to prioritize. In no time at all, you’ll begin to thrive as these areas blossom.
A desire to make relationships official coincides with these cosmic conditions. You’ll want to know exactly where you stand with others to gauge how vulnerable and invested you should be. A sweet aspect between Venus and Saturn reinforces these sentiments, opening the door for constructive conversations. Be mindful of how you approach discussions with that special someone. Speaking frankly will be more effective than heavy displays of emotion. Though, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to bare your soul after a consensus has been made. Get the ball rolling by sharing your visions for the future, and asking your partner to do the same. If your dreams match up, evolve the discussion to determine the best way to grow and support one another moving forward.
While navigating these vibes, you could begin to sense new ventures on the horizon. Channel this energy by learning from past obstacles, appreciating the valuable insights you gained from harsh lessons. Appreciate the resilience and knowledge you’ve gained to build confidence. With an emboldened spirit, it will be easier to form strategies you are confident in. Picture where you hope to be six months from now, and take steps in the right direction.
