Everything You Need to Know About December’s Full Moon in Gemini

There will be plenty of chatter, ideas, and opportunities for connection floating through the air on December 15th, when the Gemini full moon illuminates the night sky. Marking the final, and one of the most social full moons of the year, now is the time to engage with friends, family, and peers. Visions you’ve been mulling over in your mind will be ready to see the light of day, and communicating aspirations can help you find the support you need to follow through on such ambitions. However, it’ll be equally as important that you decipher which agendas should be laid to rest, as it would be easy to take on too much at once. When outlining your next moves, prioritize that which offers mental stimulation and emotional fulfillment, and be sure to consider the advice of well meaning companions.

Duality is a major theme during this astrological event, and you’ll find that it’s easy to shift gears while navigating different tasks, social situations, and environments. However, this energy can cause the mind to speed up, and it may be helpful to keep a pen and paper handy so you don’t forget important details or lose focus. If you start to feel scattered or tense, make it a point to slow down and ground. Pay special attention to any recurring themes that pop into the mind or your conversations, as the universe may be trying to guide you in a specific direction. You’ll also want to be mindful of any sudden mood shifts that occur, as the energy at play can be finicky and flighty.

Knowing yourself will be important for thriving under Luna’s glow, though you should maintain an open mind as well. Opinions are liable to change at a moment’s notice, and understanding the core of your being will be the only way to ensure that shifting points of view are a result of your own evolution and not the cosmic tides swaying you. People will be ultra convincing with the aid of this full moon, easily making points that sound intellectual and well thought out. However, asking questions can help you see who is authentic or has hidden agendas. If someone you encounter becomes flighty or defensive at your prodding, take it as a sign that there’s more than meets the eye.

Shortly after the full moon emerges, Mercury ends its retrograde reign of terror. While there’s much to celebrate anytime a planet stations direct, this transit may lead to last showdowns and major upheaval. Conflict can escalate quickly if you’re not careful, and miscommunications might spiral into something more dramatic if tensions are given a chance to accelerate. Focusing on the positive can help you maintain stability right now, but you should beware of blinding yourself with too much optimism. Though the energy will move quickly, that doesn’t mean you have to. Give yourself the space to fully digest conversations, ideas, and new information, and you should come out of this full moon feeling focused, bright, and vibrant.
