Everything You Need to Know About Capricorn Full Moon

June 29 marks the Capricorn full moon, and an opportunity to reconsider your options. This lunation has the power to forge leaders, alter the future, and build stronger connections. Tradition plays a strong role in this astrological event, but not all customs are worth preserving, especially if they come with high costs. When navigating these vibes, keep the following questions in mind:

Have you been honoring your soul’s true calling, or has your life centered around a desire to impress parents or gain status?

How can you channel talents and ideas constructively?

What do you want to be known for?

Where do you need more experience?

Saturn, the planet of karma, time, and discipline, rules over Capricorn and this lunation. He is a strict yet fair archetype, representing the importance of consistency, accountability, and justice. This energy allows us to make long term plans, outline societal norms, and gain the respect of peers. Saturn will make significant appearances throughout your life. He may guide you to a mentor when you are ready to learn, discipline reckless actions through encounters with the law, or reward efforts to make positive changes. He is an enigma that forces one to earn their rewards, but also provides the resilience to do so. Pay homage to this deity by taking responsibility for yourself.

Themes around wisdom and aging come into focus under Luna’s glow. Those with strong Saturn or Capricorn placements tend to get better as they grow older. It is because this energy provides the patience and dedication required to develop exceptional skills, financial security, and an unwavering sense of self. However, these same sentiments can contribute to unhealthy attitudes around work or success. Now is a good time to gaze into the future. Reflect on what you want your golden years to look like. Be honest about how realistic these visions are, and what it will take to manifest them. Consider the trajectory of your life thus far to determine where change is necessary. When balanced, Capricorn energy is stable, secure, knowledgeable, and at ease. Use Luna’s glow to nurture these qualities within.

Mercury stations retrograde just before the full moon rises, offering up second chances. While this planetary backspin has a reputation for triggering messes and miscommunication, it also brings much value to our lives. Review plans and projects to improve upon them throughout the coming weeks. Editing is elevated to another level during this time, and those who are eager to improve will reap the benefits of this energy. Stay flexible as new lessons filter though, learning to bend so you do not break.

Exercise restraint as Mars forms a t-square with the nodes of fate. Pushing through unpolished work will result in unintended detours and hits to your reputation. Keep a low profile and experiment with techniques or ideas to perfect your formula. Remember that the universe values patience. If hurdles arise, they likely hold valuable lessons that will provide you with the experience necessary to go further. Handle these obstacles and you will be stronger for it.
