Are Full Moon Babies Smarter? How to Discover Your Moon Phase and What It Means

Your zodiac sign refers to the placement of the stars at the time of your birth, predominantly focusing on where the sun and moon were on that day and time. It does not, however, take into account the moon phase that was present on your day of birth. And, as it turns out, each stage of the lunar cycle has a strong impact on a lot of areas of your life.

Mostly, you will notice that the moon phase you were born in creates a ripple effect on when you hit your peak. New moon babies are typically progressive but don’t need to be in the spotlight for their work. Full moon babies are typically gifted from a young age, and see a lot of their life coming into full fruition in every area… even if they do struggle with intense and irrational emotions at times.

Don’t know your moon phase? Find out now!

New Moon

If your lunar personality is new moon, you are a behind-the-scenes innovator. You are gifted at gathering and reviewing a lot of information and then distilling it or recreating it for others. At a very young age, you will begin to experience signs and signals that alert you to what you are supposed to be doing, and will find yourself earlier than most others do.

First Crescent Moon

First Crescents are both traditional and progressive. They appreciate good style, rules broken for a good cause, and caring deeply about those around them. First Crescents often really start to “get it together” by their late 20s and 30s, and not usually sooner. They are also notoriously stubborn, but that helps when it comes to committing completely to that which they care about.

First Quarter Moon

First Quarters are rebels with (and without) cause. They are disruptors of status quo, they do the “impossible,” they create that which they think needs to exist. They are highly attuned to their emotions, but often struggle to complete projects. They are the epitome of “big picture thinkers.” They begin to peak in their 30s and see the fruition of their effort come in completely in their 40s

Waxing Gibbous Moon

Waxing Gibbous are humanitarian healers. They are highly attuned to the needs and pain of others’ and make it their life’s mission to help in whatever way that they can. Their purpose is to be of aide or service to humanity. They thrive in middle age: they do best when they are more fully matured and can look back and appreciate what they’ve done.

Full Moon

Full moon children are here to live out their wildest dreams. They are here to create extraordinary things, and are often known for being prodigies at very young ages. They are highly emotional, very sensitive to discomfort, and can often overreact to these feelings. That is the main thing holding them back from manifesting basically whatever they want in life. Full Moons thrive in each season and decade of their lives, just for different reasons.

Waning Gibbous Moon

Waning Gibbous folks are interested in creating lasting change. They are often interested in social patterns and history, and find their purpose in “leaving a legacy.” They are inherently intellectual and intuitive. Their peak time occurs later in life, during the “golden years.” They find their most peace, wisdom and calm in looking back, not forward.

Last Quarter Moon

Last Quarters are the most deeply understanding and intuitive of all. They are highly opinionated, and unique, if not often eccentric (at least, on the inside). They are completely original thinkers, and that’s because they have such an abundance of creativity running through them at all times. They peak during their late 60s and 70s, as the “wise old” person who is still young at heart.

Balsamic Moon

Balsamic moon babies are truly unique, almost as though they are from another planet. They are spiritualists and healers, they are capable of perceiving things beyond the current reality they experience. They are best entertained by their own minds, and often find new and innovative ways to think and interpret theories and possibilities. They peak at the very end of their lives, but find joy and accomplishment in every phase and season.
