2024 Astrology Predictions: Eclipses, Retrogrades & Notable Astrological Transits

A completely new era is afoot! In more ways than one, 2024 functions as a gigantic portal to a brand-new epoch, as the three outer planets work in tandem to assist us in creating a new reality. In the second part of the year, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto will work together to elevate mass consciousness, anchoring the Age of Aquarius. Technology and spirituality will assist this shift into a completely new paradigm that triumphs individuality and personal growth as more of us unplug from the oppressive mental matrix of capitalism.

Still, we must stay aware that for a brand-new epoch to be birthed, the old structures will, simultaneously, continue their process of collapsing, as they have been since 2021. With its thorough touch, master teacher Saturn continues this process as it remains in Pisces, being assisted by Jupiter in the Spring and Fall. The worlds of media and commerce, in particular, are set to change and evolve as Jupiter enters Gemini in May.

But before this shift, Jupiter has an epic meeting with Uranus in Taurus, which is bound to enliven the financial and real estate markets in the early Spring. According to mundane astrologer Jessica Adams, this combination could see some countries introduce universal basic income, a real estate buyer’s market, and huge personal profits for some.

At a personal level, the cardinal signs wrap up a fifteen-year cycle of transformation as Pluto ends its transit in Capricorn. The mutable signs are set to experience a few wake-up calls as the planet of illusion begins its retrograde at the critical degree of Pisces. Collectively, we all continue the work we began in the summer of 2023 as the Lunar Nodes of Destiny in Aries and Libra continue to end toxic and co-dependent relationships.

Luckily, we get the hardest part of the year out of the way by doing deep and personal growth between January and April. During these months, the Nodes activate Chiron in Aries, following up on a journey that we first walked at the beginning of 2023. Through spiritual, energetic, or psychological work, heal the area of your chart ruled by Aries and you can make 2024 a huge success!

Below are all the 2024 astrological aspects you need to know—from eclipses to retrogrades to major notable transits.

2024 Eclipses

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Libra: March 25

A relationship or situation that began at the October 14, 2023 Ring of Fire eclipse could come to an end now. With Venus now in Pisces conjunct Saturn, there might be a contraction in relationships in the case that we have over-extended ourselves.

New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aries: April 8

Healing “the relationship with the self” becomes the theme now with this fiery eclipse being exactly conjunct Chiron in Aries. New doors will open for those who can clearly see the way in which they have abandoned their dreams for the sake of keeping other people happy.

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces: September 17

The dissolution of structures that was set in motion during the Spring of 2023 when Saturn first entered Pisces hits climax now. Collectively, we could see this in the field of news as well as media, with Jupiter in Gemini forming a T-square with the eclipse, and Neptune in Pisces later in the year.

New Moon Solar Eclipse in Libra: October 2

This is the last eclipse in the Aries/Libra axis, meaning the work we’re doing in cleaning and clearing up relationships is almost over. Featuring asteroid Juno and Black Moon Lilith, this eclipse will squeeze out of us any repressed emotions that might be lurking in the shadows, waiting to be exposed.

2024 Retrogrades

Mercury:

April 1 – April 25

August 4 – August 28

November 25 – December 15

In 2024, Mercury will go retrograde in fire signs, with a short detour in the sign of Virgo. The themes the cosmic messenger will have us review include creativity, drive, ambition, and giving birth to ideas. Since Mercury can move incredibly fast in Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius, the highs and lows will be extreme. The lows will include a feeling of dried-up creativity and maybe even libido. But the highs will be exciting and exhilarating, to say the least. To make the best of the Grand Fire Trine that Mercury will form in the sky, we must explore our creativity as well as different ways to chase our goals. The retrogrades of Mercury will also be crucial in teaching us how to use our words within relationships, as all three retrogrades make astrological connections with Venus and Chiron in Aries. Overall, there will be an underlying healing tone to these retrogrades, so seek true rapport in all of them.

Mars: December 26 – February 23

In the heart of Winter, this retrograde will help us clear out the confusing energy that lies underneath family dynamics. If used correctly, it can be positive in helping us heal generational trauma.

Jupiter: October 9 – February 4

Involving a square with Saturn in Pisces, the 2024 retrograde of Jupiter will be very mental, as our old belief system gets tested. Changing our minds about big life subjects is not only necessary—it’s a must!

Saturn: June 29 – November 15

Unlike other planets, Saturn does not lose its powers during its retrograde motion. Karmic adjustments will take place now, especially concerning any mutable sign placements: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces.

Uranus: September 1 – January 30

This retrograde will allow us to take a breather after the accelerated change Uranus provided personally and collectively, after being magnified by Jupiter in the Spring. Big collective change will continue to occur, but at a more digestible level, for the rest of the year.

Neptune: July 2 – December 7

Massive epiphanies will occur during this retrograde as Neptune loses its hypnotic powers. We will realize why certain structures needed to dissolve, as we begin creating a completely new world based on true compassion.

Pluto: May 2 – October 1

Similarly to 2023, the retrograde of Pluto means the power will be changing hands, as Pluto retrogrades from Aquarius to Capricorn for the last time. Meaningful changes in government, big companies, and financial elites are bound to occur now.

2024 Notable Astrological Influences

Lunar North Node conjunct Chiron in Aries

From January 1 to May 15, all healing modalities and spiritual advancements will experience quantum leaps as deep healing is required for many of us now.

Uranus sextile Neptune

From June to December, many of us will experience spiritual awakenings as the world of dreams, intuition, and the occult receive a supercharged injection of adrenaline and excitement. A highly inventive and creative time, collectively and personally.

Uranus sextile Pluto

From mid-July to mid-November, unique opportunities to create a new life are available to us as big breakthroughs occur in the fields of technology, astrology, creativity, and art take place.

Jupiter in Gemini square Saturn in Pisces

On August 19 and December 4, Jupiter assists Saturn’s three-year-long process of destroying the established structures and social beliefs, so new ones can be built. The financial markets could suffer at this time, so good dates to keep in mind concerning investments.

Pluto enters Aquarius

The beginning of a new era, a completely new epoch, is heralded as Pluto stays in Aquarius for good, from November 19, 2024, to March 8, 2043. This magnanimous shift anchors the Age of Aquarius, which was set in motion by the 2020 Jupiter-Saturn Great Conjunction and the Saturn-Uranus 2021 squares.
